For the first time in I don't how long, I am thoroughly satisfied with a Springsteen album. For me, it's one of those albums I feel strongly connected with. I know all the lyrics and can feel the next song coming just as the current one hits its last note. It is my favorite post-Tunnel of Love bruce album.

What really astounded me upon first hearing this set was how they made the cheering between songs so seamless, like it was all from one show. Pretty remarkable when you go from a club performance to an arena or stadium.

Does it get any better than the "sloppy" drums on "Every Picture Tells A Story"?

Love how upfront the drums were in this song.

And who belongs to the harmony voice that comes in at "she claimed that it just aint natural"? and later in the song? Love it!

I forget that Phil Spector was involved with this album...co-producing the song, "Imagine." That's crazy!

Hey, I think the Bob Newhart album had the one about salt and butter. But, The Chuck's bike story might be an unreleased track on a cd.
